Welcome
As a student of The Internet, I have spent the last seven years deeply involved in the development, construction, and management of e-commerce web sites. During that time I have taken over fifty web sites through their entire project lifecycles.
Between 1984 and 1999 I was equally involved with the professional licensed sports industry specializing in licensing, marketing, promotions, sales and team level management.
I have spent over 15 years selling sports licensed products to retail stores, department stores, and to the various sports venues across the country. I had 14 sports salesmen working for me from Maine to Florida. In addition, I developed relationships with several gift rep groups to bring my lines to the gift market. I closed the business because the sports licensed products industry was moving away from specialty stores and toward mass merchants.
Now, what do I want to do next? I sat down and evaluated the world of selling. I looked at street selling again and came to the conclusion that it was on the way out. Manufacturers no longer needed a salesman to call on a store. Most stores can simply go online to a manufacturer's website and place an order.
I then looked at The Internet. I studied how people made purchases online. The shopping cart issues (receivables), page layout (merchandising), marketing, and advertising (still the same, no matter what selling vehicle is used). I received a terrific education at MMT Solutions (third position on my resume). I was taught programming and website development. I now have the 'smarts' to work with the programmers on their level. I am able to explain to them what the client wanted, if it could be accomplished, at what cost, and in what time frame.
I was also able to discuss, with the clients (management), what the technology was able to do, how it will be done, when it will be completed, and how much resources would be needed to complete the project.
From MMT I took my show on the road and developed several websites for which I am very proud. I developed an almost obsessive sense of online marketing. This includes site optimization, pay-per-click models, Meta tag management, search engine submissions, e-mail marketing (not spam) and banner advertising campaigns.
A major part of my day is spent working with web site logs as well as pay-per-click management. Using WebTrends, Analog, and/or Net Tracker, data is collected on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Relevant data is extracted from the tracking software and reports are developed for management (executive, director, and managerial). Reports are provided in graphical as well as numerical depending upon the preferences of management.
I have also made presentations to management seminars, investor meetings, as well as 'pep rallies' for the rank and file employees.
I have administered several very successful affiliate programs taking Churchill Corporate Services website from 0 to 1750 affiliates in 6 months through Commission Junction; I have also been very successful developing and maintaining several private affiliate programs at Holt Industries, Weight Loss Buddy, Kit-Cat, Nutra-Tea, Quick Lawn, Activepak, and Innermint.
I have also managed a rather successful online media campaign for Churchill Corporate Services in Hawthorne, New Jersey. I developed banner campaigns using MonsterMoving, Dice, Careerbuilder, Apartments.com, and BizStay, and Homestore. The campaign averaged a 3.7% click-through rate over a nine month period!
In closing, I had to learn programming to be able to develop the marketing programs. I can't code, but I sure can read it, troubleshoot it, and judge it. Because of these unique skills I know I can contribute to your bottom line, and the ultimate success of your company.
It's all about the sale. It's NOT about the medium. I just added a new set of very powerful tools that I can use to serve my clients
